You will be part of a dynamic and experienced team bringing the features of traditional derivative markets to the rapidly expanding cryptocurrency arena. GFO-X will be a leader in the new era of regulated trading venues that trade 24/7. In this role, you will help with the various technology systems needed in growing a new, regulated trading venue. The successful candidate will be joining the software development team in our London office and report to the Head of Research and Development. The successful candidate will also have a chance to complete a secondment to our Hong Kong office for 2 months.

Role
• Degree holder in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience
• Experience in leading a development team, mentoring other developers
• Good Knowledge of financial products such as derivatives

Valuation Quantitative Analyst – London, UK

The successful candidate will be joining the Quantitative Strategy team in our London office and report to our Senior Quantitative Strategist based in Hong Kong.


Tasks and Responsibilities
• Oversee and contribute to the orderly end of day and intraday valuation of our instruments for our central clearing counterparty
o Monitor the quantitative computations leading to the results, and challenge the market input to the model.
o If necessary, provide manual adjustments to the valuation process in an auditable and reproducible way.
• Continuously refine the model through team-work research and development
o Analyse our own and external market data to extract the knowledge needed to refine pricing of liquid instruments
o Improve our interpolation routines to maintain a smooth and correct volatility surface
• Monitor the recording of market data from other exchanges and the computation of indices
• Contribute to research papers based on our market data and crypto-derivatives in general for internal and external stakeholders


Skills and Background
• 2 or 3 years of working experience in a futures and options valuation role
• Graduate degree with finance and quantitative subject
• Excellent communication skills to handle the smooth cooperation with IT teams, management, risk, compliance, the clearing counterparty and potentially the regulator
• Strong understanding of futures and options pricing, knowledge of curve fitting techniques and modelling, knowledge of VAR, expected shortfall and SPAN risk models

Ability to code in python or another scripting language and use it for data analysis and statistics
• Other quantitative skills (machine learning, low level programming languages, blockchain development) are a plus.
• Ability to work under pressure with strict time constraints on an asset class that trades 24/7, and to adapt to a rapidly evolving environment

In this role, you will help with the various team administrative related responsibilities across Sales, Operations, IT, Compliance & Risk needed in growing a new, regulated exchange.


Reporting directly to our Head of HR/Admin, the successful candidate must be highly organized and enjoy working within an environment that is mission-driven, fast-paced, results-oriented, and global in nature. The ideal individual will have the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, strong written and verbal communication skills, good administrative skills, the ability to be proactive and resourceful, and the ability to maintain balance among multiple priorities for our London office.


Responsibilities
• Provide full administrative support in any capacity to the Team.
• Organise internal and external meetings, ensuring effective administrative arrangements are in place to enable the meeting to run well, for example: book venues and meeting rooms, plan necessary IT equipment, catering and ensure invitations and notes are distributed in good time.

Head of Trading Venue Infrastructure – London


Global Futures and Options Ltd (GFO-X)”, is a UK based digital asset derivatives trading venue authorised by the FCA. We are seeking a Head of Trading Venue Infrastructure to join our growing team.

You will be part of a dynamic and experienced team bringing the features of traditional derivative markets to the rapidly expanding digital asset arena. GFO-X will be a leader in the new era of regulated trading venues that trade 24/7. In this role, you will help with the various technology
systems needed in growing a new, regulated trading venue.

The successful candidate will be reporting to the CTO and is responsible for the implementation and operations of technology infrastructure for our proprietary exchange trading platform in a top-tier co-located hosting environment. This includes data centers, systems monitoring, servers, networking, storage and related software.

Collaborating with the Infrastructure Team Lead and an infrastructure team distributed between two main operational sites, this position will lead the operations of the overall exchange trading platform infrastructure with a responsibility for executing the technology infrastructure plan which includes deployment of proprietary technology for our high-performance trading platform.


RESPONSIBILITIES
• Partners with the CTO to execute the exchange trading platform implementation strategy
• Owns the build-out of the co-location environment with high performance and latency sensitive on-premise servers, switches and proprietary software
• Assist CTO with enforcement of enterprise-grade best-practices and technology architecture, reporting of status and incidents to the Technology and Operations governance process
• Assist with building out a comprehensive disaster recovery architecture and operations, including redundant, highly available server and network architectures
• Responsible for managing production deployment process of proprietary trading platform software
• Leadership for delivery of 24/7 Tier III trading platform support and operations and insuring SLAs are met

REQUIREMENTS
• 15+ years’ total experience, including 5+ years in a production 24/7 high-availability multi-site enterprise environment, including application hosting, automated deployment, network security and data security
• Hands-on technical experience that enables direct oversight, problem-solving leadership and participation for complex infrastructure implementation, system upgrades and operational troubleshooting
• Working knowledge of proprietary financial applications and exchange trading platforms deployed into a Linux environment
• Working knowledge of CISCO-based network communications technology including NEXUS class switches, high availability and disaster recovery architecture
• Network trouble shooting tools, such as WireShark, TCPDUMP, etc..
• Knowledge of kernel bypass technologies, such as OpenOnload, VMA, etc..
• Experience with operating highly secure networks and knowledge of WAN architecture including operation over leased lines, MPLS, VPLS, encrypted tunnels, routing protocols, etc..
• Knowledge of systems and network monitor tools such as ZABBIX, PTRG, Solarwinds, etc.
• Direct working experience with Mellanox network equipment is an advantage
• Performance tuning of Linux OS and applications know-how is also an advantage
• Experience with JIRA Helpdesk issue tracking and Confluence
• Knowledge of NIST, ISO 27001 and similar standards

UI Developer – Hong Kong

This role will be reporting to our Head of Software Development. The main duties will be on user interface development as well as tangent UX and workflow. Infrastructure Engineer – London

The successful candidate will be joining the operations team, reporting to the Head of IT Infrastructure and working with developers, project stakeholders and build-out the infrastructure for an institutional-grade fully UK regulated exchange for digital asset futures and options.

Role

  • Day to day management of exchange and corporate IT infrastructure, including monitoring, support, deployment, and upgrades of critical infrastructure. Provision of support to internal and external clients.
  • Incident management for service interruptions
  • Provision of support to the Exchange Operations team to assist in resolving operational issues
  • Input into design, implementation and management of data centre and corporate network infrastructure, including Linux and Windows OS, storage, network devices and virtualization, email, messaging and identity management.
  • Working with the Security team to implement corporate security policies to ensure our IT environments adhere to internal and industry-standard policies and practices
  • Provide support to colleagues across three offices
  • Propose and lead projects that improve our production environments
  • Working shifts may be required

Ideal Qualifications

  • 5+ years administering and deploying Debian and Redhat based Linux solutions
  • Practical exposure to Ansible, Puppet or similar configuration management tools
  • Experience with routing, encryption and switching technologies in data centres and corporate networks with a focus on Cisco and FS. Experience with configuring and managing resilient, low-latency switching environments is particularly welcome
  • Experience with deployment and operations of virtualization platforms
  • Demonstratable skills with orchestration and automation tools, including scripting languages such as Bash/Shell, Perl, and Python
  • Exposure to configuring and extending the Zabbix monitoring platform or similar
  • Familiarity with firewall and VPN appliance management
  • Exposure to Redhat IdM or similar Identity Management platforms, including practical LDAP skills
